Anna Katsoulaki

Anna Katsoulaki joined The City Law School in September 2008. In addition to her responsibilities as Co-ordinator of the LLM in Maritime Law, she teaches Carriage of Goods by Sea and International Trade Law. Her main teaching and research interests include International Maritime Law,  Bills of Lading, Charterparties, Cargo Claims and Contract Law.

Before joining The City Law School, Anna was an in-house legal advisor for  shipping companies for 8 years where she was dealing with various cargo claims related to bulk and bagged cargoes, sale and purchase of vessels, marine insurance and P&I matters, and marine accidents. She was also a contract law and shipping law lecturer for London Metropolitan University.

Anna is a member of HAME (Hellenic Association of Maritime Economists) and she is also the co-founder of AKMO ltd. - a company organising various shipping and economics executive seminars as well as the ISMT (International Ship Management Test).

At present, Anna is currently concentrating on research preparing a number of articles for the Journal of Shipping and Trade Law as well as her PhD proposal.
