The City Law School, a NEW name in Law.
“We're one of London's major law schools and offer an impressive range of academic and professional courses. We're the first law school in London to educate students and practitioners at all stages of legal education. ”The City Law School
The former Inns of Court School of Law has been a part of The City Law School, City University London, since 2001. In July 2008 we discontinued using the name “Inns of Court School of Law” in relation to our Professional Courses.
Now much more than just a “Bar School” our new name, simply “The City Law School”, better reflects the range of our vocational and professional portfolio. However, under that banner, education for the Bar will remain a key part of our activity.
We will also remain in the heart of legal London, in Gray’s Inn and Northampton Square, and will retain our strong links with the four Inns, the Bar and the many members of the judiciary who have studied or taught at the School or who have been involved in its governance.
The City Law School is the first University Law School in London to educate students and practitioners at every stage of legal education, not only vocational and professional, but also undergraduate and postgraduate, where we have a range of masters programmes and our highly regarded GDL and Graduate LLB conversion courses.
Our students come from a wide variety of backgrounds and cultures. As students of City University London, they will continue to benefit from its array of student-focused services, facilities and activities, as well as from our connections with the practising bar and from our outstanding graduate employment record.
We aim to develop the professional, dynamic, highly motivated, and “practice-ready” lawyers of the future – are you ready to join us?
