LECTURER IN ONLINE JOURNALISMChristopher Brauer is module leader in Online Journalism for the MAs in Journalism and International Journalism. Christopher is a City alumnus (1997/8) with extensive professional experience in media, technology and business.
After graduation he joined the Press Association (PA) and was editor of PA NewsCentre for two years and part of a small project team responsible for the rollout of Ananova, the world’s first digital newsreader. During the first wave of the dot-com boom Christopher consulted with a variety of start-ups in London, Toronto and New York before joining PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) as an emerging and integrating technology consultant for Information, Communications and Entertainment (ICE).
He owned and operated a consulting services and software development company, Smoothmedia, in Victoria, BC for three years before returning to London to study towards a PhD in Sociology/Computing at Goldsmiths College, University of London.
