You can apply either in hard copy by post or online. Please follow the instructions below carefully. Please submit the following:
1. One application form. You can download a pdf file of our application form or apply online by following the links below.
2. Two references, one of which should be from an academic referee. Either supply your referees' details on the online application form, or (if applying in hard copy) post the references to us with your application or arrange for your referees to forward them to us no later than two weeks after your application is submitted.
3. A copy of your degree transcript. We require an original transcript or a copy certified by your university. If you have not yet graduated, you will be required to send us your degree transcript as soon as it is available. You will not be able to register as a City University student without having supplied your degree transcript.
4. An essay of 250-500 words describing how you see the publishing industry developing in the near future.
Either include this on a separate sheet with your postal application, or copy and paste the essay into the "Personal Statement" section of the online application form.
Places are strictly limited and we strongly recommend that you apply as early as possible, as applications will close when the course is full. Applicants who want to be considered for AHRC funding must submit their course application to us by 1 March 2010. We aim to process all applications within six weeks of receipt.
Candidates whose first language is not English will be required to obtain a score of at least 7.0 in the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) administered by the British Council. For further information about IELTS, please see their website: http://www.ielts.org.
