The International Politics degree at City will help you find answers to these and many other questions about our changing world. We are a growing community of students and academics dedicated to exploring the many processes of change occurring in the world today.
The expertise of our Faculty comprises a diverse range of themes in International Relations, including development and globalisation, civil society and social movements, history and religion, global political economy, governance and international institutions. Geographically our research and teaching focus, but are not confined to, Europe and North America, Africa, the Middle East, Russia and the former USSR.
City’s approach to International Politics aims to be comprehensive, and relevant for the understanding power in the 21st century. Elaborating on traditional themes in the discipline of International Relations, the City’s degree places an emphasis on issues underpinning global policy-making today. Our students study the complexities of economic, social and political transformations that continue to reshape power, and the effects of theses shifts on the policy-making process.
