Computing

Our computing course choices are regularly updated to ensure that they meet current needs and anticipate the future requirements of industry and commerce. The key features of our module portfolio are:

• Distinctive range of modules based upon City’s internationally acknowledged research strengths and experience in professional education;
• Coverage of industrially relevant methods and technologies, including the creative industries, such as computer games and computing technologies for music;
• Wide range of innovative upper level modules ranging from the theoretical to the business-oriented as well as the creative.
  

You will have the opportunity to gain exposure to a range of relevant industrial methods, technologies and programming languages including ASAP, C++, Haskell, HTML, Java, Javascript, OMG/CORBA, PHP, Prolog, SQL, UML, Unix and XML.

The dynamism of City’s research is further reflected by active research in the areas of artificial intelligence, health informatics, bioinformatics and human-computer interaction. The research conducted at City feeds directly into the modules developed here.
