Pre-arrival Information
The prospect of arriving and settling in to a new university environment and a new city can be daunting. The City International Student Advice website provides helpful information and advice to make your stay at City a little easier and enjoyable.
Accommodation
The University is unable to guarantee accommodation for exchange students. If your exchange is for the full academic year (September-May) you may apply for university accommodation through the Accommodation Office.
If you are not allocated a place in the halls of residence, the Accommodation Office can provide advice on private housing options in London.
Orientation
The International Office will host an Orientation for all new Exchange and Erasmus students commencing in the first semester each year. The exchange/Erasmus orientation is usually held in the week prior to the start of classes. Details will be sent to you once you have been accepted in to the City Exchange Programme.
There will also be a general university orientation for all new international students at the beginning of the first semester. Details will be published on the International Student Support website nearer the time.
English Language Support
The Centre for Language Studies runs various language programmes throughout the year to assist students to improve their English language skills.
