Entry Requirements

Entry requirements will vary from course to course, and all decisions on admission are made on an individual basis, so the following entry requirements are only a guide.

Undergraduate programmes

Applicants will need to have taken a recognised one-year foundation course before entering an undergraduate course at City. Iranian applicants who hold the Pre-University Certificate (Peeshandeshgahe) can be considered directly for undergraduate studies. The International Foundation Programme is a one-year programme giving guaranteed entrance to a number of City courses.

Postgraduate programmes

Applicants will be expected to hold a good bachelor degree from a recognised institution.

The MBA is a mid-career qualification which is not open to fresh graduates. Applicants must have a first class degree, a minimum of three years management level work experience and a GMAT score of 600 or above.

English Requirements

Undergraduate - IELTS 6.0 or TOEFL 79 is required (IELTS 6.5 or TOEFL 100 for business and IELTS 7.0 for journalism and law courses)

Postgraduate - IELTS 6.5 or TOEFL 100 is required (IELTS 7.0 or TOEFL 107 for business, journalism and law courses)
