Information Technology is led by the Director of IT, Claire Priestley, and comprises of 2 distinct functions.
Director of IT Business: Kristen Goodrich
Our role in IT Business is to understand, interpret and develop awareness of how IT can best support the University and Information Services’ strategic plans. This includes identifying and developing new solutions, improvements and efficiencies in our existing technology estate whilst keeping an ‘IT eye’ on the future.
Director of Operations: Eric McIntosh
IT Operations Team supports the IT infrastructure for the University, this includes responsibility for the up-keep of our University computer network which includes 1700 student PCs and 2400 staff PCs, the provision of the wireless internet network, email system, file store, printing, several University websites, the virtual learning environment and for the back up of our data. They also bring new innovations and developments to University activity for the promotion of teaching and research.
The IT Service Desk offers first line technical support for staff and students, offering help with any IT related issues from password resetting to problems with Computers, they also offer Audio Visual support, ensuring that our classroom technologies are ready for use.
Support is offered via a variety of methods including in person support at our IT Service Desks in Northampton Square and Bunhill Row, 24 hour telephone support, and online support via Service Now.
