Placements
As a computing student at City you will have the opportunity to gain practical experience, whilst earning, alongside your studies. Our undergraduate placement schemes enable students to put into practice the knowledge they acquire in their taught modules.
The placement schemes are coordinated through the Professional Liaison Unit (PLU), a team dedicated to supporting students who wish to undertake professional work experience during their studies. Placements for undergraduates
We offer two types of placement for undergraduates:

One-year placement - These are taken after students have successfully completed their second year of studies; students work between nine and fifteen months on placement before returning to City to complete their final year

Professional Pathway Scheme - This scheme is unique to City and offers students the opportunity to combine placement employment (and earnings) whilst studying
