International Students

Located in the heart of London, our approach to education draws on more than 100 years of tradition.

City University London has exceptionally good links with business and the professions. We are in the top 10 in the UK both for graduate employability (according to The Times Good University Guide 2011) and graduate starting salaries (The Sunday Times University Guide 2011). Over 77% our undergraduate students were employed within six months of graduation - compared to the national average of 68.2% (HESA statistics, 2008).

The School of Informatics at City University London has delivered a professional education to over two thousand computing and IT students since the millennium. We are at the forefront of international excellence and leadership in education and research for the information and computing professions.

Our professionally-oriented portfolio of degrees and industry experience equip graduates with the vital skills and knowledge required for a successful start or development of their careers.

The School's graduate employability ranking is excellent: 73.8% of our computing and IT undergraduates were employed within six months of graduation (national average 64.1%, HESA data).

The School's research directly informs teaching. In the last Research Assessment Exercise (RAE) over 85% of the School's academic staff were ranked at 4 or 5, indicating research of international and national excellence in almost all areas.

Students also benefit from working in a £12m state-of-the-art, purpose-built space in City University London's historic College Building, which includes specialist teaching rooms, a SAP Product lab and a high-tech Human Computer Interaction Design lab supported by The Vodafone UK Foundation.
