About us

The Centre for Human-Computer Interaction Design is an independent research centre established within the School of Informatics at City University in 1991. Its goal is to undertake internationally recognised academic research and publish results in leading journals and conferences.The Centre has grown significantly since 2000 and is now London's largest HCI-related research group, with over 20 academic and research staff and a large number of PhD candidates. Our people are multi-disciplinary, with backgrounds in systems engineering, software engineering, human-computer interaction, psychology, social science, artificial intelligence and management science.
