Work Biography
Jacqueline graduated in psychology at Birkbeck in 1993 and worked as a researcher in education before joining City University in 1998. As a researcher at City University she managed the programme of risk research for the School of Community & Health Sciences. The programme includes national and international studies of risk management in forensic mental health, stoma care, prenatal screening and learning disabilities from the perspective of service users and multidisciplinary teams. Output from these studies has appeared in academic journals and conferences as well as teaching materials. Alongside this programme, Jacqueline has been a lead researcher on externally funded projects including an evaluation of midwifery services, research capacity building with practice nurses, streaming and skill-mix in primary care and (in 2011) an appreciative inquiry of compassionate care.
