Previous Teaching/Professional Experience
19 years in the NHS. Previous post, Chief SLT specialising in paediatric dysphagia, from neonates to teenagers, both acute and community, and children with complex special needs including autism. These interests are still maintained clinically for one day a week. I have a particular interest in neonates in terms of using non-nutritive sucking to develop functional oral feeding skills. In addition, I also have a strong interest in disability issues including AAC, language acquisition needs of people with disabilities, and peer tutoring.
