Aims
The group addresses fundamental and applied research in the areas of imaging, and instrumentation for basic and applied research in vision and ophthalmology. Research areas include: novel applications of smart optics for visual science, development of new standards in the assessment and quantification of structural and functional changes in eye disease and research towards the advancement of our understanding of scattering processes in the human eye.
Our funding is derived from amongst others, EPSRC, RCUK, DoH, The Royal Society, European Commission and industry. We have strong national, international and industrial links.
