Interprofessional Practice Research
Interprofessional working requires expert practitioners to work together as a team in an integrated, task focused way, rather than in parallel with other disciplines. This enables them to provide sensitive and flexible services to individuals and communities with complex service needs.
Skilled interprofessional practice is widely recognised nationally and internationally as essential to delivery of appropriate and sensitive health and social services. Government policy in the United Kingdom emphasises the need for interprofessional practice in a variety of arenas such as public safety, health care, policing, social services and voluntary sector.
City University London is renowned in the United Kingdom and internationally for its innovative developments in interprofessional practice, research and education. This section gives you the opportunity to learn more about our research in the field.
