Education for Practice and Research Group

The Education for Practice and Research Group has overlapping activities that inform both practice and research. The focus on practice involves learning from simulated professional practice; education supporting patient safety; work-based learning (including mentorship); and learner-centered design and the learner experience. With funding from the NIHR-MRC, The London Deanery, and The National Patient Safety Agency, this aspect of the work has focused on a triangulation of methods to measure patient safety and facilitation and learning transfer in clinical simulation. The group's other focus is on developments in research methodology to ensure researchers are up to date on debates and methods in research.
