Educational Audit

This Educational Audit tool is to be completed on a two year cycle. Year one the full Educational Audit needs to be completed, year two a Review of the Educational Audit is completed and changes to the Practice Profile are noted.

Please return this form to the Practice Facilitator, who then will forward it to the Placements Officer when completed.

Placement of the Year Award

This award is given each year to practice placement areas that receive nominations for excellence in supporting their students' learning whilst on placement. The nominations are made by students who have spent at least 2 weeks in the setting.

We aim to give an award to placements in each of the Communities of Practice and for each branch of nursing, and for midwifery as well as in the independent sector. Students can nominate their placement any time between November and the end of October. A scrutiny panel that includes student representatives, practice staff and a user and carer decide which placements should be given an award. Students can nominate as many times as they wish, providing they nominate a different placement each time. Information about the criteria against which students need to judge placement areas is detailed on the nomination form.

Completed forms can be handed to your Practice Education Manager / Facilitator, or can be placed into a sealed envelop, addressed to 'Placement Officer' and handed to Reception at either West Smithfield or Whitechapel.
