The University has a 2 part instalment scheme for the payment of tuition fees by some students.
If you have sufficient funds available to pay your years fees in full at or before registration, we would strongly advise you to do so to avoid possible financial problems later in the year.
The instalment scheme is open to all self-financing students except for:
Students on courses for which fees are payable on a modular basis, who must pay the fee for each module in full before commencing it. If you are unsure whether your fees are payable on a modular basis, please contact your School Office.
From 2009/10, all new and continuing students can pay their annual tuition fee in two equal instalments.
NEW STUDENTS following the normal academic year (i.e. registration in August, September or October), in order to complete registration, must pay their first instalment of their annual tuition fee, and also provide us with financial details for us to collect the second instalment on the last working day of January. You can do this online at https://epay.city.ac.uk.
CONTINUING STUDENTS following the normal academic year (i.e. registration in August, September or October) must pay their first instalment of the annual tuition fee before the last working day of October, and also provide us with financial details for us to collect the second instalment on the last working day of January. You can do this online at https://epay.city.ac.uk.
If you are following a different pattern of study, the first instalment must be paid when registering and the second on the last working day of the third completed month after registering.
You can pay the first instalment of your fees by cheque, by credit/debit card or by bank transfer, but you must also provide us with either your bank details or your debit/credit card details to collect the second instalment on the last working day of January. Continuing students can also pay their first instalment in October by Direct Debit. These can be set up online at https://epay.city.ac.uk.
Please note that payment by Direct Debit is only available to students following the normal academic year (i.e.registering in August, September or October). Also, we can only hold details of one bank account per student; so if you are paying both tuition fees and accommodation fees by Direct Debit, please ensure that the bank details you supply are the same for both.
If you provide us with your debit or credit card details, the first instalment will be charged to your debit/credit card on the same day or shortly after we receive your card details, and the second instalment will automatically be charged to your debit/credit card on the last working day of January. This is the simplest form of paying your annual tuition fees and you can set this up online at https://epay.city.ac.uk.
The University does not offer a discount for payment in full at registration and nor does it charge an administrative fee for payment by instalment. However, we reserve the right to levy interest and administrative charges for late payment of any of the instalments.
If you have a query about the instalment scheme, please contact the Income Team.
