The Future of Micro Gas Turbines

This Mini-Symposium is aimed at bringing industry and research communities together to discuss technological and techno-economic issues and to explore enabling measures for realising the commercial success of micro gas turbines in order to meet energy and environmental challenges. It will include short presentations by expert speakers and panel discussions.

Programme

Theme: Current state of the technology in relations to applications:

  • Near-term (0-5 years): biofuels in distributed applications.
  • Mid-term (5-10 years): Concentrated Solar Power.
  • Long-term (10-15): Waste Heat Recovery with externally heated gas turbines.
  • Very long term (>15 years): fuel cell hybrid systems.
