Submission of Applications
Applicants should submit their applications to the supervisors who have agreed to support the applications for the University Doctoral Studentships.
The following submissions are required for new applications:
1. The research degree application form that can be download from the website: http://www.city.ac.uk/research/research-degrees/application
2. A cover letter explaining your interests
3. A research proposal
4. A non-technical summary of no more than 400 words of the proposed research
5. Proof of academic qualifications
6. Evidence of English language proficiency where appropriate
7. Two written references (at least one academic) in support of the applicant
8. A CV describing relevant experience qualifications
9. Evidence of financial support
* * Even you are applying for the University Doctoral Studentship, it is useful for us to know, if you would be interested to be considered as an applicant without a studentship. In the latter case, we would like to know, if you are in principle capable of supporting yourself.
The closing date for doctoral research applications for candidates wishing to be considered for University Doctoral Studentships is Friday 9 March 2012 for studentships available from 1 October 2012.
