This course will use a number of different activities to explore our reactions to organisational change, and will enable managers to identify factors that help and hinder the change process as well as examine practical steps that line managers can take to facilitate change, manage staff morale and expectations.

Louise Shepherd is a very experienced and successful learning and development consultant who has worked in the public and private sector for 30 years. For the last 18 years she has her own training consultancy specialising in leadership, management and team development.

- Plan the communication of change to maximise impact and engagement
- Name 5 common reactions to change and know how to get the best from these reactions
- Develop strategies to manage change resistors
- Identify factors that help and hinder change
- Use the GROW model of coaching with staff members facing uncertainty or who have to make difficult decisions
Teaching and Assessment
This is a participative training course involving discussion, individual reflection, practical exercises and skills practice. Informal assessment will take place through group discussion and classroom activities as guided by your tutor.
