Historic London (Global Summer School)
London is one of the world's great global cities with a history that stretches back to the Roman times.
In this module you will learn about the exciting history of the city and the development of London as an international centre of importance through an interactive series of lectures, museum visits, art exhibitions, readings and projects.
We will use the writings of William Shakespeare, Geoffrey Chaucer, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, William Blake, Samuel Pepys, Winston Churchill and others to explore the changing ways in which the city of London has been portrayed and understood.

This module includes trips to:
- Tower of London
- Globe Theatre
- Westminster Abbey
- National Portrait Gallery
- Hampton Court Palace
- British Museum
- Imperial War Museum
- Tate Modern (pictured, above)
- Tate Britain
- 2012 Olympics site
Upon successful completion of this module you will receive a transcript with 7.5 ECTS credits.
