International Business Psychology MSc
Overview
This new Masters degree aims to give you the knowledge and skills you need apply psychological research and practice to international work-related challenges.
This is an advanced course aimed at people looking to advance their career and contribute to the performance and wellbeing of their organisation. The course is also open to high-calibre recent graduates.

Entry Requirements
You should normally have a first or second-class degree in Psychology, Business or a related area. We also welcome applicants with substantial experience in business or looking for career advancement or change.
You should have GCSE Maths at Grade C or above (or an equivalent overseas high school qualification).
You may be required to take part in an interview. (Overseas applicants may be interviewed by telephone or Skype.)English Requirements

Course Content
The course builds on the latest expertise in business psychology, organisational behaviour and human resource management, and draws from international theory and practice.

Teaching and Assessment
Teaching
You will learn by a combination of lectures and hands-on sessions. In lectures you will be introduced to key theories and concepts in psychology and business. In the hands-on sessions you will have the opportunity to debate organisational issues of an international nature, develop important practical skills (eg. project management), analyse case studies, and make presentations of academic research.
Assessment
All modules have a variety of assessment methods to match the content of the module and support your learning experience. Assessment methods include examination, coursework, group assignments/presentations.
Aims of the course
The MSc in International Business Psychology is unique in that combines developmental, practical and theoretical objectives. These aim to:
- provide you with the knowledge and skills needed to apply psychological approaches to work-related problems in ways that are sensitive to international business needs and cross-cultural differences
- help you develop a critical understanding of the opportunities and challenges arising from the internationalisation of business
- help you identify, reflect on and develop your professional strengths and development needs
- provide you with opportunities to develop and practice leadership and professional development skills
- enable you to develop and practice research and project management skills in international work contexts.

Career Prospects
This is an advanced course that will enable you to progress to management positions which require an understanding of psychology at work and the business context internationally.
These may be managerial positions in major organisations, entrepreneurial ventures or any function requiring a critical analysis of work situations (eg. human resource management and strategic roles).
You will be encouraged to take responsibility of your learning experience and will have the opportunity to develop those aspects of your professional identity that will help you pursue the career of your choice.
