Understanding and Working with Families CPD
The module will provide you with the opportunity to critically evaluate the place and role of family in the 21st century. It will analyse the theoretical underpinnings of family and examine key national and international research evidence and theory on family mental health and working with families.

What will I learn?
The module will enable you to:- Critically reflect on the family and identify key theories in terms of current approaches, interventions and outcomes of family work
- Identify the key issues in relation to parental mental health and to critically evaluate the impact of culture and ethnicity on the family life cycle and on issues of gender and sexuality.
