The Biological Basis of Haemablobinopathies and Related Pharmacology CPD
The short course will examine the alterations in blood that leads to the haemoglobinopathies, particularly sickle cell disease and the thalassaemias.

Eligibility
- You must be a practitioner (qualified or unqualified) in healthcare or a related profession.
What will I learn?
The short course will enable you to:- Gain understanding and knowledge of the genetics of the disease and how this leads to altered health states
- Discuss a range of means by which these clients can be assisted to maximise the quality of life, ranging from simple life-style choices, through drug treatments to therapies that are complex and ethically controversial.
