Supporting and Assessing Learning in Practice Settings CPD
The module is validated by the Nursing and Midwifery Council according to the Standards to Support Learning and Assessment in Practice (NMC 2008) as it prepares practitioners for local registration as mentors for pre-registration nursing and midwifery students.

Eligibility
- You must be a qualified health-care professional registered to practice in the UK.
The module requires you to be:
- Working in a suitable practice area
- Have a clinical mentor.
English Requirements
For those students whose first language is not English one of thefollowing qualifications is also required:
- IELTS: 7.0
- TOEFL (internet-based): 107

Teaching and Assessment
Mode of delivery Teaching methods include lectures and online activities supporting the four taught days. A significant amount of work-based learning is also required.
Assessment Assessment for the module consists of a portfolio including a reflective essay and work-place evaluation of practice as a mentor.
