Ophthalmic Physical Assessment Modules CPD
City University London, in collaboration with Moorfields Eye Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, offers you two modules designed to extend practitioner knowledge and skills in ophthalmic care settings in the assessment of ocular function and disease.
The demand for ophthalmic care continues to increase as the population demographics change. Allied to this is the UK-wide determination to improve eye health for people in the United Kingdom - UK Vision Strategy. There is an increasing emphasis on the delivery of ophthalmic care in community settings with a growing recognition that practitioners other than ophthalmologists may be ideally placed to undertake the delivery of this care.
These modules are offered as part of the MSc Nursing (Advanced Nursing Practice) route. The modules facilitate the development of specialist assessment skills and the ability to interpret data in order to formulate an informed plan of care.
