Ophthalmic Care Specialist Role Development CPD
The module is designed to provide practitioners working in the ophthalmic field with the competency base to develop skills in ophthalmic specialist practice.
A central theme of these modules is patient assessment, clinical decision-making and implementing and evaluating patient needs within selected ophthalmic care pathways.
The modules require a commitment to self-directed learning and you will be expected to work in an appropriate clinical area to facilitate your learning and assessment.

You must be a qualified nurse or midwife either in the UK or overseas.

For those students whose first language is not English one of the
following qualifications is also required:
- IELTS: 7
- TOEFL (internet-based): 107

- Gain the skills required for assessing and managing the care of patients with common ophthalmic conditions.
Expand your role in ophthalmic settings and build on previous skills and knowledge gained in the Ophthalmic Care Core Skills module (NM3295).
