Eligibility

This short course is suitable for any health professional working with neonates including neonatal and children's nurses, midwives, paramedics, nursery nurses / healthcare assistants and medical staff.

What will I learn?

The short course will enable you to:

  • Update and understand recent evidence-based guidelines for resuscitation of the newborn Increase your knowledge and rationale for practice relating to newborn resuscitation techniques
  • Apply recent theory to practice in the delivery room care of the newborn and/or subsequently in the neonatal unit or postnatal ward
  • Demonstrate safe and effective emergency management of the newborn and family.
