Eligibility

  • You must be a qualified nurse or midwife either in the UK or overseas.

English Requirements

  • IELTS: 7.0
  • TOEFL (internet-based): 107

What will I learn?

The module will enable you to:

  • Gain knowledge of management of neonatal respiratory conditions
  • Enhance your ability to analysis blood gases
  • Develop your insights into neonatal ventilation management
  • Gain an understanding of the basic interpretation of chest x-ray
  • Enhance your ability in neonatal cannulation
  • Gain an understanding of management strategies for neonatal care.

Teaching and Assessment

Mode of delivery
Teaching methods include lectures, group work, scenario-based teaching, skills training and one-to-one tutorials and reflection sessions.

Assessment
Assessment for the module consists of a viva voce.
