Leadership for Practice and Service Delivery  CPD

The module will examine the theoretical underpinnings of leadership and, through the use of experiential learning methods, begin the process of unpacking existing leadership styles and methods of working, with a view to bring about change in self and others.

The module requires you to be:

  • Working in a suitable practice area.

English Requirements

For those students whose first language is not English one of the
following qualifications is also required:

  • IELTS: 7.0
  • TOEFL (internet-based): 107

What will I learn?

The module will enable you to:

  • Critically examine theories of leadership and evaluate the complex interrelationship between leadership style, use of resources, decision making and political imperatives
  • Consider the impact of these on the development and delivery of your practice and service.

Mode of delivery
Teaching methods include student directed critical reflective practice and six taught sessions.

Assessment
Assessment for the module consists of an essay.
