The short course is intended to expand and consolidate the clinical skills of healthcare assistants who are already in practice. It is also designed to provide a solid foundation of clinical skills if you are new in post.

Eligibility
- You must be a healthcare assistant employed by the Barts and the London NHS Trust
Work/Clinical Placement Requirements
The module requires you to be:
- Working in a suitable practice area
- In a clinical placement.
What will I learn?
The short course will enable you to:- Develop the knowledge and skills necessary to safely care for patients
- Practice nursing skills in a safe and friendly environment.
Teaching and Assessment
Mode of deliveryTeaching methods include seminars, discussion, and clinical simulations.
Assessment
Assessment for the short course consists of a formative assessment using practice scenarios at the end of the short course.
