Eligibility

  • A first degree is not required
  • All applicants will be expected to attend an interview
  • You will need to be a practitioner in a relevant field, such as the emergency services, voluntary and statutory human services, healthcare, education or business.
Work/Clinical Placement Requirements

The module requires you to be:

  • Working in a suitable practice area.

English Requirements

For those students whose first language is not English one of the
following qualifications is also required:

  • IELTS: 7.0
  • TOEFL (internet-based): 107

What will I learn?

The module will enable you to:

  • Formulate interprofessional, contingency planning cycles and relevant service delivery in response to a wide range of civil emergencies relevant both within the UK and internationally.

Teaching methods include lectures, seminars, personal tutorials, self-directed study and case studies with enquiry-based learning.

Assessment
Assessment for the module consists of an essay that requires you to address an area of practice in your own discipline.
