Eligibility
- You must be a qualified nurse or midwife either in the UK or overseas.
The module requires you to be:
- Working in a suitable practice area
- In a clinical placement
- Have a clinical mentor.
English Requirements
For those students whose first language is not English one of thefollowing qualifications is also required:
- IELTS: 7.0
- TOEFL (internet-based): 107
What will I learn?
The module will enable you to:- Critically discuss core care requirements of the intensive care patient
- Rationalise mechanical respiratory support
- Evaluate the effect of respiratory support.

Assessment
Assessment for the module consists of essays, objective structured clinical examinations, practice-based assessments and seminar presentations with supporting papers.
