- You must be a qualified healthcare professional either in the UK or overseas.
Work/Clinical Placement Requirement

- Working in an area with level two patients
- Have a clinical mentor.

What will I learn?
The module will enable you to:- Critically evaluate the role of biological sciences in effective infection control immunity and pharmacology
- Critically evaluate and apply principles underpinning infection control policies/procedures within a clinical care setting
- Demonstrate comprehensive and detailed knowledge of the specialist role of the infection control team and your own role boundaries in prevention/management of infections.

Assessment
Assessment for the module consists of a 2,000 word essay about an aspect of infection control relevant to your own clinical area.
