Eligibility
- First or second-class honours degree or equivalent in an appropriate subject
- The Licentiate Diploma of the Royal college of Speech and Language Therapists is also accepted.
English Requirements
For those students whose first language is not English one of the following qualifications is also required:- IELTS: 6.5
- TOEFL (internet-based): 100
What will I learn?
The module is designed to provide the student with an introduction to health management concerns and approaches.
It aims to:
- Develop an understanding of the health care public sector management environment and provide a broad perspective in strategic issues
- Develop confidence and skill in handling management issues at work
- Encourage application of clinical experience and skill to management tasks
- Create an understanding of the real issues occurring during change and how change impacts organisations and individuals
- Encourage sharing of concerns, thoughts and ideas for mutual support.
Teaching and Assessment
Mode of deliveryTeaching methods include seminars and workshops for debate and discussion. You will need to support your learning with background reading.
Assessment
The module will be assessed by submission of a Service Development Plan that demonstrates the concepts of the course and their application.
