Eligibility

  • You must be a qualified nurse or allied healthcare professional either in the UK or overseas.

Work/Clinical Placement Requirements

The module requires you to be:

  • Working in a suitable practice area
  • Working in a clinical placement  

English Requirements

For those students whose first language is not English one of the
following qualifications is also required:

• IELTS:  6.5
• TOEFL (internet-based): 107

What will I learn?

The module will enable you to:

  • Gain knowledge, expertise and practical skills in managing patients/clients with asthma and COPD
  • Develop a working knowledge of asthma and COPD guidelines. 

Teaching and Assessment

Mode of delivery
Teaching methods include lectures, role play, case studies, practical sessions and group work.

Assessment
Assessment for the module consists of a clinical protocol and a 2000 word supporting essay.
