Eligibility
- You must be a qualified nurse or midwife registered with the NMC.
- Non-nursing candidates as listed under suitability must have the ability to communicate in English verbally and in written form

What will I learn?
The short course will enable you to:- Gain an understanding of termination of pregnancy
- Gain a thorough understanding of contraceptive choices
- Enhance your communication skills in sexual health
- Improve your knowledge of factors influencing contraceptive choice
- Enhance your knowledge and understanding of the reproductive anatomy and physiology
- Enhance your knowledge and understanding of sex and sexuality
- Develop your understanding of Chlamydia and the importance of screening for young people.
Teaching and Assessment
Mode of deliveryTeaching methods include lectures, workshops, group interactions, role play, quizzes and assessments.
Assessment
Assessment for the short course consists of group presentations.
