Advanced Nuclear Medicine  CPD

The module develops the knowledge and understanding obtained as a result of the nuclear medicine module. It addresses cutting edge applications of nuclear medicine technology and develops understanding of the full diversity of nuclear medicine techniques.

Eligibility

  • Honours degree in Radiography or other health related subject
OR

  • Appropriate professional qualifications e.g. Diploma of the College of Radiographers.  

English Requirements

For those students whose first language is not English one of the following qualifications is also required:

  • IELTS: 7
  • TOEFL (internet-based): 100

What will I learn?

The module will enable you to:

  • Gain a comprehensive knowledge base compatible with extended nuclear medicine practice and procedures encountered in a clinical setting
  • Enhance your knowledge so that you can discuss advanced nuclear medicine protocols, including reasons for performing scans, possible modifications and future developments in nuclear medicine
  • Gain the ability to interpret nuclear medicine requests and images, discussing anatomy, physiology and, where indicated, pathology
  • Enhance your knowledge to operate in a safe, efficient manner in a clinical setting.
