Mock Interviews
These sessions are usually 40 minutes long, with the 30mins used for the actual interview and the last 10mins for feedback. Employers usually like to send junior members of their HR or Graduate Recruitment team so that they can familiarise themselves with the interviewing process and gain some experience.
cv & Application form checks
These sessions are extremely popular among our students as they get the opportunity to receive feedback on the cv or their application form from established professionals within the organisations they are thinking of applying to. They are usually held in the afternoon for approximately 2-3 hours. We allocate 20-minute appointment slots to students who can call and reserve a place in advance.
So how does it work?
We will book an interview room in the Career and Skills Development Service for you and will deal with all the advertising and administration free of charge. We can also target these sessions to a specific group of students that you are particularly keen to approach in order to help you make the most of your time. It is clearly advertised to the students that these sessions are for practice only and that employers will not be taking them into account for actual recruitment purposes.
What will my organisation gain from doing this?
By running this type of session your organisation will establish a very friendly and approachable profile on campus while at the same time meeting face to face with high calibre students who are keen to apply for your graduate or placement schemes. Furthermore, your members of staff who will be running these sessions will gain first hand experience of interviewing and CV screening!
