Vacancy Board

Our online Vacancy Board is free of charge and the easiest way to advertise your graduate vacancy, placements, internships and any part-time or casual work.

How can I advertise online?

To add your opportunities to our database you can complete our Vacancy Submission Form, or send a full advert to vacancyboard@city.ac.uk. Your advert will go online usually within 1-2 working days.

Please ensure that you refer to our Code of Practice for Employers before you submit your advert.

Important Information

Over the next few weeks, City University London will be introducing a new vacancy advertising portal that will enhance the communication between City students, alumni, employers and the Careers Team. Co-ordinated by the Careers Team at City the system will allow you to:

The details we hold for your organisation will be migrated into the new system and you will receive an email from us outlining how to retrieve your log in details. 

The service will remain free of charge and will enable you to reach a greater number of students and recent graduates as well as manage your own adverts.

How many students will see my advert?

Along with placing your vacancy online, when submitted, an email with your vacancy details is automatically sent to all our registered students and graduates. There are currently over 6000 candidates registered to receive regular email alerts while more than 12,000 students and recent graduates regularly access our online database to view vacancy opportunities.

Can I get help drafting my advert?

Our experienced employer relations team can advise you on issues such as:

  1. When and for how long to advertise your vacancies
  2. How to draft your advertisement 
  3. Appropriate salaries to offer
  4. How to target the right students
  5. How to maximise responses to your ads.

Can I hold interviews on campus?

As an employer, you can arrange to interview candidates on-campus for any graduate programme/internship/casual vacancies advertised through the Career and Skills Development Service.

We can provide you with all the necessary facilities free of charge as long as you are interviewing City students only. 

Are there other ways to promote these opportunities?

Yes, we can help you through all of your recruitment stages, from building your brand, to preparing students and graduates for your selection process.

Attend a sector specific career fair - meet and discuss recruitment plans and practices with our diverse student assembly.

Host a careers event on campus - this is an effective way to build your brand and get to know our students, while at the same time promoting your vacancies.
