Widening Participation Opportunities
A great way of enhancing your employability while you study at City University London, give back to the community and have lots of fun in the process, is to become a Widening Participation Student Ambassador.
Widening participation is about working to raise aspirations, increase attainment, and break down the barriers some young people are faced with when considering Higher Education. By taking part in our highly engaging activities, participants develop the skills and knowledge needed to make well-informed realistic decisions about their future.
The Student Development and Outreach team are now recruiting for Student Ambassadors to support out Widening Participation outreach activities with local schools and college.

What does the job involve?
- Tutoring in local schools and colleges
- Academic mentoring young people
- Assisting and supporting City staff during visit days and summer schools at the University
- Attending parents evenings
- Acting as a role model
- Delivering short talks and asking questions about what its like to be a student
- Working with young people from year 6-13 from across London
