Ask Alumni
The Ask Alumni database allows you to contact alumni of City University London who have agreed to act as Alumni Mentors.
In collaboration with the City Alumni Office, the Ask Alumni database allows you to contact alumni of City University who have agreed to act as Alumni Mentors so they can share their knowledge and experience about the world of work. Please remember that the main objective of the database is to provide advice and information - not jobs. The alumni mentors will not be able to give you a job or a project- so please don't ask. However they may be able to offer help on the following:
- What skills and experience are necessary to be successful?
- What are the major issues affecting the sector/field at the moment?
- What are the most satisfying aspects of the job?
- What is a typical day like?
- What additional experience/training would be beneficial to get into the field?
Accessing the Ask Alumni Database
To use the database you will need to come to the Careers Service, Northampton Square and ask at the enquiry desk. If you are a graduate, please email careers@city.ac.uk with your full details, including student registration number and year of graduation, to request access.
