Publishing is primarily a business, and commercial understanding is necessary for all publishing professionals.
This module aims to provide you with an understanding of:
1) the underlying business structures governing the book and electronic publishing industries;
2) the relationship between the creative processes of publishing and the generation of sales revenue;
3) the management structure of publishing companies;
4) publishing decision-making processes, and;
5) the national and global business structure of the publishing industry.
