Orchestral & instrumental studies

In this module you will explore the development of orchestration in Western Art music, from the mid-eighteenth century to the present day.

The advancement of technique and instrumental development will be traced with the aid of score/audio examples.

Where possible student work will be performed and/or workshopped by departmental ensembles.
