Marcus Gilroy-Ware convenes the online journalism curriculum of the Masters in International Journalism at City University London, which is delivered in modules Journalism practice 1 and Journalism practice 2.
Marcus is co-founder and creative director of Not on the Wires and uses his experience as a working multimedia journalist and journalism entrepreneur to inform his teaching.
His own academic research is focused on questions of how cyberspace, and the unique qualities that characterise it, affect commonly understood societal norms that are translated onto the internet, with particular emphasis on journalism, law, entrepreneurialism and the arts.
A graduate of the School of Cognitive Science at Hampshire College in the United States, Marcus is also completing a Masters in Law (QLD) at Birkbeck, University of London.
He runs creative consultancy VSC Creative and is founder and creator of the innovative publishing system Smartest.
