The information society

This module encourages you to examine and evaluate the social significance of the ‘information revolution’.

You will engage with sociological (and cognate) accounts of the ‘information age’ and critically assess the relationship between contemporary social theory and trends in the information domain.

You will also scrutinise theories and concepts with empirical evidence to test the credibility of information society thinking.
