Introduction to sociology

This module provides you with a broad introduction to some of the main areas of research and debate in contemporary sociology.

It does not presuppose any previous knowledge of sociology.

The course also provides a strong foundation for the more specialised courses that you will study in the second and third years if taking the sociology and media studies & sociology degree.
