Department of Creative Practice & Enterprise
Our mission is to support and develop innovative creative practice across our courses, but also to engage with the frameworks, policies and creative industries with which this practice intersects.
Based in the heart of London, one of the most dynamically creative cities in the world, we maintain close links with many of the cultural organisations that drive Britain's creative economy.
Our work is organised through three centres:
- The Centre for Music Studies has an outstanding research profile, and is one of the UK's leading university environments for practical music-making combined with academic study
- The Centre For Cultural Policy & Management is the longest-established centre of its kind in the country, and is internationally renowned for its research into cultural policy, arts and cultural management, and the creative economy
- The Centre for Creative Writing, Translation and Publishing is a newer centre that brings together our exceptional postgraduate courses in these areas, and boasts a range of notable industry networks and successful graduates.
